Food Pantry Manager

The Margaret Fuller Neighborhood house is seeking a part-time Food Pantry Manager who will be responsible for the operations, maintenance and development of the food pantry. The Duties include recruiting and overseeing volunteers and work-study students.  He/she will also order food, supplies, organize intake of all clients, and prepare and monitor the   pantry budget. The Manager must also prepare: monthly, quarterly and yearly written reports and regular written correspondence. Manager will also be responsible to work with Executive Director in preparing funding proposals for the Food Pantry.

Position requirements: experience in working with diverse communities, excellent people skills, good organizational skills, the ability to work independently, and also ability to learn quickly.  Must also have good computer skills: experience with databases (or ability to learn) and word processing. A flexible schedule is important and a car helpful. He/she must be able to lift 50-60 lbs. Preference for Spanish or Creole language candidates.

This position is part-time 20 hours per week with benefits.  The hourly rate is $12.50– $13.00 an hour.  Current schedule is as follows:

            Wednesday    1pm – 8:00pm

            Thursday       12:30pm – 4:30pm

            Friday            8:45am – 12:45 pm

            Saturday        8:45am – 12:45pm

These hours may change according to the changing needs of pantry operations.
