Come see the new look for the Fuller House!

The Margaret Fuller House, a National Historic
Landmark built in 1807, has been rejuvenated! Major exterior
renovations have been completed giving the Fuller House a beautiful
new look to go with a new roof, gutters, windows and siding.
The MFNH would like to thank the Cambridge Historical Commission and
an anonymous local foundation for their generous grants.
Your help was crucial in preserving the
Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House, a historic
treasure in Area IV of Cambridge. Thank you!
Vision for the Future
The Margaret Fuller House Board of Directors is discussing major
renovations, both interior and exterior, to meet growing community
needs and to secure long-term funding for operations.
- Our Board is strategically planning the growth and expansion of
the Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House as the organization focuses
on Community Building: Join the MFNH board as we strive to build
opportunities that bring our neighbors together, provide community
places that encourage sharing of neighborhood concerns, and help
community members to work together to achieve neighborhood goals.
We firmly believe that strong communities have a better chance of
combating crime, drug abuse, mental and social deterioration caused
by isolation and disenfranchisement. In order to keep the Area IV
neighborhood from continued destabilization, we are opening our
doors to all neighbors. Our strategies are: (1) to increase
communication among neighbors; (2) to identify community social
networking needs and wants; (3) to build opportunities for neighbors
to discuss and address immediate and long term Area IV needs.
- As our organization continues to address immediate community
needs, the MFNH Board must also anticipate future needs and
challenges. The Board of Directors has participated in a
strategic planning process in 2007 developing our vision for the
future.
-
The Board and community are developing an
idea for the potential expansion and long term sustainability of
the MFNH. We understand that the idea will change many times and
evolve as we explore better ways to build a strong Area IV
Community. We are excited about the opportunities and that are
opening for our 100 year old venerable organization. We
encourage the entire Area IV Community and each one here tonight
to help the MFNH strengthen our organization as we work to
strengthen our neighborhood.
