12-Week Program with Instructor

INTRODUCTION TO MS ACCESS  12-week Program

 Do you need to keep track of a lot of information?  Perhaps you want to catalog your CD collection or create a mailing list for your local club.  “Microsoft Access” will show you how to enter information into a database.  A ‘database’ is a collection of information organized in such a way that a computer program can quickly retrieve desired pieces of data.  You can think of a database as an electronic filing system.  (Extra week added due to Thanksgiving holiday)

Note for all advanced classes: A working knowledge of the basic screen elements of a Microsoft window is mandatory.  Necessary required skills include: using menu file commands; selecting, modifying and editing text; and creating and saving a document.  Knowledge about Data Entry and the Data Retrieval Search functions of Sort, Find, and Filter will be developed.

Seating is limited: 8 Computer Workstations

Sign up early to reserve a computer for the 12-week session.  Because of the seating capacity, please consider your schedule before making the 12-week commitment.

Introduction to E-Mail   4-Week Program

“Using E- Mail” will show you how to surf the Internet, obtain a free e-mail box, and teach you to send and receive; reply and forward e-mail messages.

Seating is limited: 8 Computer Workstations

Sign up early to reserve a computer for each 4-week session.  If the first session is filled, you may sign up for the second or third group.  You may repeat only if there is available seating.
