The mission of the Margaret Fuller House is to strengthen and empower youth, families, and community residents. We work to address the economic, social and political inequities that shape the lives and futures of Port/Area IV residents.
The Gold Star Pool is newly filled with crystal clear, chlorinated water. The sands of Crane Beach have already been heavily trodden this season. The herbs and flowers of our garden are in bloom. And the grates of our grill have already been graced with the fiery grease of hundreds of hot dogs and hamburgers. As the sun steadily stays out longer and longer into the evening and thermometers creep higher and higher, a very special time to be a kid at the Margaret Fuller House is about to begin – SUMMER CAMP! Both students and staff alike are itching like an old sunburn from a day spent outside in the hot sun (which is why we don’t forget the sunscreen!) for the final few days of school to end and the summer to begin. Summers at the Margaret Fuller House are full of new friends, learning and exploration, and adventure. We couldn’t be more excited to meet new students and reconnect with those who already know what we’re all about. We have some incredibly new and exciting programs – Lego robotics, a STEM curriculum in partnership with MIT, Harvard and STEMconX, drama, photography, tennis, and cooking workshops. Hopefully, this is the year our basketball team wins the league’s championship trophy! It’s time to pack your backpack with a lunch, water bottle, hat, bathing suit, and towel and dive headfirst into summer because we’re ready for it to begin!
